I started publishing it in 1980 with Denise Caramagno, and it ceased publication in 1987. When we started, the Fat Tire Flyer was the only publication in the world for mountain bikers. It was not until five years later that another national publication appeared, and by the time the Fat Tire Flyer ceased publication in 1987 there were several major publishing houses competing with us for a share of the mountain bike market.
